Spotting Birds – Rachel Ashcroft

March 24, 2012

Vernissage during the Frühlingserwachen Festival in the Reuterkiez!

Spotting Birds by Rachel Ashcroft

Focusing on the relationship between man and the natural world, Rachel’s new work deals with the role of the “modern” animal. Viewers, quite literally, observe the cohabitation of human and animal in the urban setting of Reuterstrasse. Using a sort of absurd theatricality, “Spotting Birds” aims to encourage a new relationship with your neighbors.

  1. Parents want to know how their child compares to the other children in the class because its the only no-bullshit way to get a straight answer and real indication of how their child is going. Every other indication of achievement is useless, as are motherhood questions like “are they where you’d want them to be at this point?”. By all means use bands (top 10% etc) but be fair to parents and give some indication.
